Why no Daria pictures here?

Old habitués of The Irony Maiden paying a return visit here will notice that, in response to the apparent Foxing of Outpost Daria, I've amplified the legal notices, and I've removed 2 pictures and 1 graphic element which were derived from Daria.

I know this makes my site less visually attractive than it used to be. But I'm not prepared to risk repeating Martin Pollard's experience, and I don't want to close down The Irony Maiden when so many people have very kindly said they find it useful.

If MTV's various departments get together and produce a "fair use" policy for webmasters, promising freedom from harassment for those who abide by it, I'll put the pictures and graphics back.
